100-YEAR-OLD CROCODILE DIES FROM OVEREATING AFTER WORSHIPPERS KEEP THROWING IT CHICKENS AND GOATS FOR GOOD LUCK

So, this croc was worshipped by people of Bangladesh who believe it brings goodluck to them. Visitors of the the Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali Shrine in Sadar Upazila of Bagerhat district in south-western Bangladesh kept offering gifts of fowls and goats to this croc in order to guarantee their good fortune. Unfortunately for the fortune giving crocodile, it was discovered dead in its enclosure by the crocodile keepers.
According to Mohammed Sarwar, one of the crocodile keepers, there were four crocodiles in the pond but they had died from overeating- leaving this one an abundant supply of food from visitors.
Crocodiles have a lifespan similar to humans generally living between 70 and 100-years-old, with one of the oldest specimens dying in a Russian zoo aged 115, hence we can say this 100 year old croc died at a ripe old age.
